About Heroes
In 2003 the Bread of Life Mission in Seattle launched Heroes Catering/Box Lunch as a transitional program and social enterprise business. This program provides economic support, skill-training, spiritual and emotional support for men and women who are transitioning from homelessness back into mainstream living. Heroes team members join this program only after completing a year-long recovery program. Upon graduation from the program, participants are ready to transition from rehabilitation to independent living. Heroes provides these dedicated individuals with the job training, relational skills, accountability, and self-confidence to break the cycle of homelessness.
All revenue is reinvested in the Heroes program, education and training initiatives, housing support, and stipend savings for Heroes team members, as well as other critical services for the homeless.
